# Zand AED (AEDZ)

**Peg:** UAE Dirham

**Backing:** Real-World Asset Backed

**Governance:** Centralized (CeFi)

**Status:** pre-launch

## Overview

AEDZ is the dirham payment token of Zand Trust, a wholly owned Zand Bank subsidiary licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE, issued on Ethereum and Solana. Exactly 1 billion of the roughly 1.006 billion AEDZ on chain on November 1 2026 sat in eleven wallets, each funded by one transfer on September 30 or October 7 2026 and unmoved since. The issuer counts those balances as circulating, and its daily feed showed 1.01 billion AEDZ against AED 1.01 billion of reserves on October 30 2026. AJMS LG's attestation as of October 1 2026 found AED 806.33 million of reserves against 806.30 million AEDZ, mostly term deposits. Pharos lists AEDZ pre-launch because no source prices it, no DEX pool exists and no admitted path sums supply across both chains, though the issuer says it is available on partner exchanges. On Ethereum one admin address has held every role since deployment and can freeze wallets, force transfers, burn from any holder and replace the implementation. Onboarded institutions redeem 1:1 through Zand Bank's corporate banking platform, paying a fee of 10 bps or AED 200, whichever is higher.

## Collateral

Zand Trust reports AEDZ as fully backed by AED cash and cash equivalents held separately from its own funds for the benefit of holders, with its parent Zand Bank as banking and custody provider. AJMS LG's ISAE 3000 attestation as of October 1 2026 reported AED 806.33M of eligible reserves against 806.30M AEDZ: AED 690M term deposits, AED 104.55M CBUAE Monetary Bills and AED 11.78M cash. The issuer's daily feed showed AED 1.01B of reserves against 1.01B AEDZ on October 30 2026.

## Peg Mechanism

CBUAE-licensed Dirham Payment Token issued by Zand Trust L.L.C S.O.C, a wholly owned Zand Bank subsidiary, as a CMTAT v3 ERC-20 on Ethereum and a Token-2022 mint on Solana. Onboarded government, financial, corporate, VASP and market-maker clients mint at no fee and redeem 1:1 through Zand Bank's corporate banking platform for 10 bps or AED 200, whichever is higher. The issuer says AEDZ is also available on partner exchanges.

## Live Data

This stablecoin has launched, but Pharos has not yet admitted a price and supply source. Missing lanes: price and supply. CoinGecko's zand-aed is a preview listing with no price, market cap or tickers, DefiLlama does not track AEDZ and no DEX pool exists. Supply is readable on Ethereum and Solana, but no admitted path sums both deployments. Live API data is unavailable, not zero, until both can be verified.
