## Overview

AUDM is Macropod's centralized Australian dollar stablecoin, redeemable 1:1 by approved clients and backed by AUD cash held in segregated {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}} at Westpac and Banking Circle Australia. Macropod AUDM brings an Australian-dollar unit into the active Pharos set with DefiLlama supply, CoinGecko pricing, Ethereum, Solana, and Redbelly contracts, and issuer documentation describing segregated AUD reserve accounts at Australian ADIs. The product is straightforward: approved Macropod clients can mint and redeem through the platform, with current reserves split mostly between Westpac and Banking Circle Australia, and primary {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} gated to approved clients. The main constraints are scale and disclosure cadence. Pharos can monitor the AUD peg immediately and validate live token supply, while stronger reserve automation depends on recurring machine-readable monthly reports.

Australian dollar cash held 1:1 in segregated AUDM Trust accounts at a regulated Big 4 Australian ADI (National Australia Bank per public reporting); reserves are not lent, invested, or rehypothecated

## Peg Mechanism

Approved Macropod clients deposit AUD into the reserve to mint AUDM and return AUDM to Macropod for 1:1 AUD redemption by bank transfer, subject to onboarding, KYC/AML, sanctions, and compliance checks
