## Overview

AUSD is Agora's centralized dollar stablecoin, redeemable 1:1 and backed by cash, short-dated U.S. {{term:treasury}}Treasury bills{{/term}}, and overnight repos managed by VanEck. Agora's AUSD deploys the kind of institutional firepower that most stablecoin issuers can only fantasize about: VanEck manages the reserves, State Street provides {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}} through a bankruptcy-remote Delaware Statutory Trust, and Chaos Labs delivers real-time proof of reserves on-chain — a trust stack that earns an A- report card with near-perfect peg stability and only a handful of depeg events on record, none exceeding 191 basis points. The revenue-sharing model with distribution partners, where Agora splits reserve yield with platforms that drive adoption, has fueled aggressive expansion to 15 chains and over $125M in DEX liquidity across 62 pools with a healthy 0.12 concentration HHI. AUSD rarely strays from the calm end of the stress scale, and a 4.6% lending yield via Upshift against an A- safety grade makes it one of the better-compensated risk profiles on the dashboard. The only tension is the familiar one: institutional-top custody and centralized issuance from Bermuda deliver excellent safety metrics everywhere except decentralization, where every centralized issuer collects its inevitable F.
