## Overview

BOLD is Liquity V2's decentralized dollar stablecoin, minted from immutable {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralized{{/term}} {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} vaults against WETH, wstETH, and rETH only — no governance keys, no admin functions, no RWA exposure. Liquity V2's BOLD is the highest-rated DeFi stablecoin on the dashboard, earning an A+ at 94 — with a safety grade history that confirms this is structural, not a fluke. Backed by wstETH, WETH, and rETH in immutable contracts with no governance keys, no admin functions, and no RWA exposure, BOLD achieves what most decentralized stablecoins only aspire to: genuine peg stability alongside genuine decentralization, with just 6 depeg events recorded and none exceeding 134 basis points.
