## Overview

BRLV is Crown's centralized Brazilian real stablecoin, mint/redeemed 1:1 for BRL and backed mostly by Brazilian federal {{term:treasury}}Treasury bonds{{/term}} in segregated {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}}. Crown BRLV is a Brazilian real stablecoin backed by federal government bonds pledged for token holders through a security-agent structure. That is a cleaner reserve story than most emerging-market fiat coins: the backing is local sovereign debt rather than offshore dollar liquidity, and the legal structure is designed to keep reserve claims separate from Crown itself. The risks are equally specific: BRL liquidity, Brazilian sovereign-rate volatility, and KYC-gated {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}}. Pharos tracks the BRL peg directly while treating reserves as curated-validated evidence because Crown's reserve page is not yet suitable for automated reserve verification.
