## Overview

CADC is a centralized, FINTRAC-registered CAD stablecoin; reserves sit in trust at a regulated Canadian institution. CADC is backed 100% by CAD and liquid securities (sub-90-day maturity) in a segregated trust, registered with FINTRAC as an MSB (C10001420) under the Loon brand, with institutional-regulated {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}} and self-reported reserve transparency via a Dune dashboard. Deployed across four chains including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Base, CADC has broader EVM reach than most local-currency stablecoins despite its modest scale. The Canadian stablecoin market remains wide open — the Bank of Canada has urged federal regulation but Parliament hasn't acted — and CADC's bet is that being the first compliant CAD stablecoin matters more than being the biggest.
