## Overview

CADm is Mento's oracle-priced CAD stablecoin on Celo, backed by the shared Mento reserve rather than Canadian bank reserves. CADm is Mento's Canadian dollar stable asset on Celo, added mainly for ecosystem completion rather than market size. DefiLlama provides price and supply coverage, and the token uses a verified Celo contract, but circulating supply remains tiny compared with larger CAD stablecoin issuers already tracked by Pharos. The collateral story is Mento reserve exposure rather than Canadian-dollar bank reserves. That means resilience depends on Celo, Mento governance, and the mixed reserve basket behind the broader Mento system. The reserve relies on {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} across a basket of stablecoins and crypto, and {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} runs through Mento reserve swaps rather than fiat off-ramps.

Mento V3 Liquity-v2-style CDPs collateralized by USDm; USDm in turn is backed by the diversified Mento Reserve mix (sUSDS, CELO, EURC, USDC, USDT, axlEUROC, stETH, and smaller positions exposed via the Mento reserve dashboard).

## Peg Mechanism

Mento V3 oracle-priced FX stablecoin minted by depositing USDm as CDP collateral and borrowing CADm against it; user-set interest rates, Stability Pool liquidations, and Liquity-style redemptions support the CADm peg, with circuit breakers and Mento reserve transparency on the upstream USDm leg.
