## Overview

CASH is Phantom's wallet-native dollar on Solana, T-bill backed by Bridge Building Inc.; distribution edge over decentralization. Phantom's CASH leverages what no DeFi protocol can replicate: distribution through crypto's most popular Solana wallet, giving millions of users a native stablecoin without requiring them to understand anything about stablecoin infrastructure. Under the hood, Bridge Building Inc. backs CASH with {{term:treasury}}T-bills{{/term}}, reverse repos, {{term:money-market-fund}}government money-market funds{{/term}}, bank deposits, and a 10% allocation to tokenized treasuries including BUIDL — 90% of reserves in very-low-risk assets with bankruptcy-remote segregation under FinCEN and state money transmitter licenses. The B report card reflects a genuinely stable product: a handful of depeg events, none worse than 181 bps, and a peg that rarely strays from the calm end of the stress scale, while over $72M in DEX liquidity across Solana pools provides workable exit depth. Solana-only deployment is a feature, not a limitation — CASH exists to be Phantom's default dollar, and the growing supply suggests that for wallet-native users, the trade-off between decentralization purity and tap-to-buy convenience was decided before it was ever offered.
