## Overview

DGLD is Gold Token SA's tokenized PAMP gold from Swiss vaults at 1 ounce per token; pristine heritage, negligible adoption. DGLD is backed 1:1 by allocated LBMA Good Delivery PAMP gold bars — the Swiss refiner whose name is synonymous with premium bullion — at 1 troy ounce per token with real-time reserve verification through on-chain bar serial numbers and VQF/FINMA regulatory oversight. MKS PAMP relaunched DGLD in late 2025 with deployments on Ethereum and Base, institutional-regulated {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}}, and minimum 1-gram {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} — the lowest physical gold redemption threshold of any tokenized gold product. A 60-year refining heritage and the most prestigious gold backing in crypto have produced one of the least adopted gold tokens on the market, proving that heritage is necessary but wildly insufficient for winning the tokenized gold race. The dual-chain deployment signals ambition beyond the institutional market, but DGLD's traction remains a fraction of what PAMP's reputation would suggest.
