# Monerium EUR emoney (EURE)

**Peg:** Euro

**Backing:** Real-World Asset Backed

**Governance:** Centralized (CeFi)

**Status:** active

## Overview

EURE is Monerium's MiCA-regulated euro e-money; SEPA-native mint and burn, mostly backed by an LVNAV fund plus bank deposits. Monerium's EURe is what happens when a Icelandic EMI license meets actual product-market fit: SEPA-to-IBAN integration that lets users move between euros and on-chain tokens without the friction that plagues most stablecoin on-ramps, backed by 70% State Street AAA-rated EUR liquidity fund and 30% bank deposits at Arion and LHV. The B grade at 73 matches EURC's safety profile despite Monerium's smaller scale, and supply growth of roughly 16% month-over-month to 34M EUR signals that the seven-chain deployment across Ethereum, Gnosis, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Cosmos is finding traction. DEX liquidity remains the weak point — an HHI of 0.86 means virtually all on-chain depth sits in a single pool, making EURe vulnerable to concentrated withdrawal risk that the underlying reserves would comfortably cover but the market might not wait for. Iceland's FSA may lack the brand cachet of France's ACPR, but the reserve structure and {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}} model are functionally indistinguishable from the top tier. The 70% State Street allocation is a low-volatility {{term:money-market-fund}}money-market fund{{/term}}, and {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} burns EURe and credits EUR via SEPA.

## Collateral

Euro deposits held in segregated accounts with credit institutions and high-quality liquid assets (HQLA) denominated in EUR, separated from Monerium's own funds; over 100% backing maintained as required under MiCA

## Peg Mechanism

Mint-and-burn: EURe is minted when users deposit EUR via SEPA bank transfer after KYC/AML verification, and burned upon redemption back to EUR; peg maintained by licensed EMI with 1:1 backing
