EUROP is Schuman Financial's ACPR-licensed euro stablecoin backed by euro cash at EU banks — credentials in abundance, market share negligible. Schuman Financial stacks every credential the euro stablecoin market demands — ACPR EMI license under MiCA, KPMG {{term:attestation}}attestations{{/term}}, 98% of reserves in euro cash at Societe Generale and peer EU banks, a 2% buffer beyond par — and still sits at barely 8.6M EUR circulating, roughly the size of a mid-tier DeFi protocol's {{term:treasury}}treasury{{/term}}. That mismatch is now showing up in the score: a B- overall, dragged down by a D on liquidity, says the credentials are no longer enough to lift a token this small out of the second tier. The peg itself is not the worry — it holds an A-grade tightness and rarely strays from the calm end of the stress scale, with dozens of brief sub-par blips and a worst drawdown of 229 bps that read as thin-market noise rather than structural instability. The five-chain deployment including XRPL and Plasma is an unusual distribution bet — reaching beyond EVM chains where the established euro competitors have not yet planted flags — but distribution without depth just spreads the same thin float across more order books.
