# Agant GBP (GBPA)

**Peg:** British Pound

**Backing:** Real-World Asset Backed

**Governance:** Centralized (CeFi)

**Status:** active

## Overview

GBPA gives approved UK distribution businesses a direct pound mint-and-redeem route while retail holders reach Agant through those businesses. The September reserve report names Griffin Bank cash and State Street money-market holdings in designated trust accounts, but the public platform terms do not provide the full holder agreement or prove insolvency priority. Nephos' report reconciles reserves to supply, yet its formal-assurance disclaimer conflicts with its examination language, limiting the assurance claim to independent attestation. Native issuance is controlled by EVM EOAs and a Solana 1-of-2 mint multisig, with LayerZero interoperability adding a separate message-validation exposure. Access to the issuer's banking workflow, incomplete holder terms and concentrated token administration remain the principal constraints.

## Collateral

GBP cash at Griffin Bank and GBP money-market fund holdings at State Street in designated trust accounts; the September 2026 report identifies both balances.

## Peg Mechanism

Approved UK business distribution customers mint and redeem at GBP 1 per GBPA through Agant Rails. Off-ramp tokens are burned and GBP is sent to a whitelisted bank account; retail holders access the issuer through distribution customers. Public numerical fees, minimums, capacity and bank-settlement guarantees are undisclosed.
