Goldfish Gold's GGBR represents 1/1000 of a troy ounce of gold per token, but unlike XAUT or PAXG, the backing is described as 'issuer balance-sheet gold exposure' rather than allocated physical bars — making it more a gold-tracking derivative than a tokenized commodity. The institutional-unregulated {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}} with no published proof of reserves, no independent {{term:attestation}}attestation{{/term}}, and no disclosed jurisdiction means the entire trust chain runs through the Goldfish entity alone. Ethereum-only deployment with high-risk reserve classification reflects the Pharos assessment of what 'issuer-managed backing' means in practice: counterparty risk on the issuer rather than custody risk on the metal.
