## Overview

Centralized USD stablecoin for the HeLa chain; CoinGecko-only coverage, no contract-level reserve telemetry yet. HLUSD is the native dollar stablecoin for the HeLa ecosystem, admitted through CoinGecko because the HeLa chain is not yet a supported Pharos contract platform. CoinGecko reports a positive price and market cap, but contract-level supply and issuer reserve telemetry remain outside the supported chain set. The asset is therefore classified as a centralized-dependent RWA-backed USD coin with an explicit unsupported-chain notice. The unusually high trading volume relative to supply makes it useful coverage, while HeLa chain support and stronger reserve documentation remain the main open data gaps. Until the issuer publishes a verifiable {{term:attestation}}attestation{{/term}} and discloses {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}}, the {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} path remains the dominant unknown.

## Peg Mechanism

Fiat-collateralized 1:1 USD peg: HLUSD is minted against off-chain USDC reserves and redeemable at 1 HLUSD = 1 USD, with issuance and redemption controlled by HeLa's on-chain role-based mint/burn governance (MintProposer/MintVoter quorum and Admin). HLUSD also serves as HeLa Chain's native gas token. Pricing and market-cap coverage are sourced from CoinGecko because the native HeLa chain is not modeled in Pharos.
