# HomeCoin (HOME)

**Peg:** US Dollar

**Backing:** Real-World Asset Backed

**Governance:** CeFi-Dependent

**Status:** active

## Overview

USD stablecoin backed by U.S. home-loan liens and property receivables; foreclosure is the recovery path, not redemption liquidity. HomeCoin is backed by U.S. home loan liens and property-backed receivables rather than cash, T-bills, or crypto collateral. That makes the asset interesting but illiquid: a foreclosure right is not the same thing as immediate redemption liquidity. Pharos tracks the Ethereum contract, self-reported collateral source, and DefiLlama provider entry while assigning high reserve risk. The real-estate lending model is documented in metadata, but HOME is not classified as yield-bearing until a holder-level yield source is verified. Reserve risk is dominated by mortgage-lien {{term:rwa}}RWA{{/term}} quality rather than cash {{term:attestation}}attestation{{/term}}, and the {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} path runs through loan workouts, not an issuer window.

## Collateral

U.S. home-loan liens and property-backed receivables originated through the HomeCoin/Bacon lending process

## Peg Mechanism

Users fund property-backed loans with stablecoins; loans are secured by recorded liens and nonpayment can lead to foreclosure or sale proceeds
