## Overview

Solana LST-backed dollar with xSOL absorbing SOL volatility; oracle-free, admin-free, only a handful of brief depeg events on record. Hylo's hyUSD converts Solana staking yield into dollar stability through a dual-token design where xSOL absorbs SOL's volatility so hyUSD doesn't have to — backed entirely by a basket of liquid staking tokens (mSOL, JitoSOL, bSOL, JupSOL) at 150%+ overcollateralization with no upstream stablecoin dependencies. The B safety grade with only a few shallow depeg events (worst: -171 bps) is a quietly remarkable result for a stablecoin whose entire backing is volatile crypto. DAO governance and the absence of admin keys earn genuine decentralization marks, a rarity among crypto-backed competitors. DEWS keeps Hylo at the cautious end of the stress scale, and a slight monthly supply contraction from $17M to $15.5M suggests it is in a consolidation phase rather than a growth one, while $3.1M in DEX TVL across six pools provides adequate but not deep exit liquidity for the current supply. Oracle-free and admin-free is an elegant thesis — the question is whether the Solana LST ecosystem remains healthy enough to keep the collateral basket liquid.
