## Overview

Citrea-native BTC-collateralized USD using a Frankencoin/d-EURO oracle-free CDP architecture; sub-$1M cap, early-network depth is the main risk. Juice Dollar is a Citrea-native USD stablecoin minted from BTC collateral in overcollateralized positions. The design follows the Frankencoin / d-EURO lineage: no external price oracle, no admin-key intervention path in the published docs, on-chain collateral positions, and liquidation mechanics instead of issuer custody. CoinGecko classifies JUSD as a Citrea ecosystem crypto-backed stablecoin, but current public market cap is still sub-$1M, so the main risk is early-network depth and liquidation-market maturity rather than off-chain reserve opacity. The model is a Frankencoin-style {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} with on-chain {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} and bidding-based {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} standing in for an external oracle.

Wrapped cBTC (WCBTC, the Citrea Bitcoin L2 native-coin wrapper) deposited in oracle-free overcollateralized positions, plus StablecoinBridge routes that mint JUSD 1:1 against external Citrea stablecoins USDC.e, USDT.e and ctUSD (Citrea USD); protocol is a d-EURO / Frankencoin (ZCHF) architecture fork.

## Peg Mechanism

Overcollateralized minting against BTC collateral on Citrea with automated on-chain liquidations when collateral ratios fall below required thresholds; no external price oracles; positions and debt are verifiable on-chain (Frankencoin-style design)
