Kinesis cracked the code that other gold tokens missed: people want yield. KAU holders earn a share of 15% of all platform transaction fees, paid monthly in additional gold — backed 1:1 by LBMA-approved physical gold at 1 gram per token in ABX vaults, Bureau Veritas audited, under a Cayman CIMA VASP license. Add a virtual Mastercard for point-of-sale gold spending and you get something genuinely different: gold that functions as money, not just an asset, with institutional-regulated custody and independent attestation that the bars actually exist. The catch is that yield depends entirely on Kinesis's transaction volume — if trading dries up, so does the rent check, and without any tracked on-chain contracts, KAU exists primarily within Kinesis's own platform rather than the broader DeFi ecosystem.
