## Overview

1:1 MXN-pegged stablecoin with quarterly attestations; issuer just moved from Mexico (CNBV) to El Salvador (CNAD) as of April 2026, with reserves still in regulated peso banking. MXNB remains a 1:1 Mexican peso stablecoin with quarterly reserve {{term:attestation}}attestations{{/term}} and the same multichain FiatToken-style deployment across Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Avalanche. The material change is issuer jurisdiction: beginning April 8, 2026, MXNB says issuance moved to Nvio Pagos El Salvador, S.A. de C.V., an authorised digital-asset issuer in El Salvador. The reserves are still described as Mexican peso assets held with regulated financial institutions under bank {{term:custody}}custody{{/term}}, so Pharos keeps the fiat-backed model while updating the regulatory owner from Mexico/CNBV to El Salvador/CNAD.
