## Overview

PYUSDx is issued by MoonPay Digital Assets Limited against PYUSD and uses M0 infrastructure for native issuance and cross-chain transfers. Eligible counterparties can redeem one token for one PYUSD, while downstream holders must first qualify with MoonPay and have no ownership interest in specific reserves. The reviewed control surface includes issuer minting, upgrades and an earner manager that can mint rewards directly, so the gateway's short queue delay does not bound every supply path. Underlying PYUSD assurance does not reconcile MoonPay's holdings against PYUSDx liabilities. Local custody protections and independent token-specific reserve assurance remain undisclosed.

## Peg Mechanism

Eligible MoonPay counterparties mint against PYUSD and redeem burned PYUSDx for the same quantity of PYUSD. Downstream holders have no direct redemption right without onboarding. Cross-chain transfers burn and mint through M0 Portal and LayerZero adapters.
