# Resupply USD (REUSD)

## Overview

Resupply's reUSD is a {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} coin minted against Curve Lend and Fraxlend vault shares, so its collateral is itself earning yield on other stablecoins, and a 1% communal {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} fee sets the price floor. The N/A overall grade is low, with the exit pillar the weakest of the three, and hundreds of recorded depeg events tell the tale of exotic collateral doing exotic things. The live pair registry puts more than nine tenths of the collateral in crvUSD lending markets, with the rest in Fraxlend, so the coin inherits both peg keepers' failure domains. DEX liquidity remains thin and concentrated relative to supply, so any serious exit leans on the communal redemption floor rather than the order book. The June 2025 oracle-manipulation exploit created roughly $9.6M of bad debt, which was repaid through treasury funds, insurance-pool burns, and a Yearn DAO loan. This is the footnote explaining why the vault plumbing earns skepticism. The token itself has no freeze or blacklist path and is minted only under on-chain governance. reUSD has spent more of its life on the stressed side of Pharos's monitoring than the calm one, and the market prices it as a recursive instrument rather than a stable store of value. The design suits farming rather than parking.
