## Overview

A Sonic/Ethereum stablecoin backed by stablecoin collateral plus Veda DeFi strategy exposure; the liquid token isn't the main yield wrapper.

Rings scUSD adds Sonic/Ethereum scAsset coverage with Veda-backed strategy exposure. The liquid token is not the main {{term:yield-bearing}}yield wrapper{{/term}}, so Pharos treats it as a stablecoin backed by stablecoin collateral plus DeFi strategy risk rather than as a savings token.

## Collateral

Stablecoin deposits routed through Trevee (formerly Rings) / Veda BoringVault infrastructure into curated DeFi lending strategies (e.g. Aave, Morpho); supported collateral includes USDC, USDT, DAI, GHO, and Sonic USDC.e

## Peg Mechanism

Users deposit supported stablecoins to mint scUSD and redeem scAssets after a documented cooldown period; yield is primarily activated by staking scUSD into stkscUSD rather than by holding liquid scUSD itself.
