# Inverse Staked DOLA (sDOLA)

## Overview

sDOLA is Inverse Finance's {{term:yield-bearing}}yield-bearing{{/term}} DOLA wrapper, not a separate base dollar. DOLA deposits sit in the sDOLA contract while FiRM borrowing revenue is converted through the DBR-DOLA auction and compounded into a rising DOLA:sDOLA exchange rate. The design avoids rehypothecating user principal, but it still inherits DOLA's {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} collateral mix, governance history, and upstream dilution risk. Chainlink CCIP deployments on Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Berachain broaden access while keeping Ethereum as the source of exchange-rate truth.

DOLA deposited into Inverse Finance's ERC-4626 sDOLA wrapper around the DOLA Savings Account; DOLA remains in the smart contract while FiRM DBR revenue is auctioned into DOLA and distributed through the exchange rate

## Peg Mechanism

Deposit DOLA to mint sDOLA at the current vault exchange rate; the DOLA:sDOLA exchange rate rises as FiRM lending revenue is converted into DOLA, and holders can unwrap back to DOLA without a lock-up
