# Tori Staked trUSD (strUSD)

## Overview

strUSD holds Tori’s trUSD in an Ethereum savings vault and distributes net trading rewards through a changing share exchange rate. Unstaking currently requires a seven-day cooldown and returns trUSD, with no protocol staking or unstaking fee. The vault is upgradeable through a 24-hour timelock, while separate admin powers can restrict addresses, redistribute blocked shares and seize blocked cooldown funds. Monad and Pharos tokens represent shares locked in the Ethereum CCIP pool, so their balances must not be counted as additional native issuance. On-chain share accounting establishes the local position, but parent reserve custody and discretionary repurchase terms still govern the economic dollar exit.

## Collateral

trUSD held by the Ethereum staking vault; unvested rewards are excluded from totalAssets. Burned cooldown claims hold trUSD in the separate silo. Offchain reserve and strategy risks remain with tracked trUSD.

## Peg Mechanism

Holders stake trUSD for ERC-4626 shares. Current cooldownDuration is 604800 seconds: cooldownShares or cooldownAssets burns shares and moves trUSD to the silo, then unstake releases it. Staking and unstaking carry no protocol fee; gas applies. Restricted addresses can be blocked and their shares or cooldown funds seized. Parent trUSD repurchase is a separate KYC-approved, discretionary issuer route.
