## Overview

the clean ERC-4626 savings receipt over USDS, with wrapper risk confined to the vault and the underlying Sky reserve mix. sUSDS is the straightforward savings wrapper in the Sky stack. Unlike stUSDS, it does not push holders into a risk-capital module or SKY-backed borrower exposure; it is the direct ERC-4626 savings receipt over USDS. That makes it the clean {{term:yield-bearing}}yield-bearing{{/term}} expression of Sky's base dollar, with wrapper risk mostly limited to the vault contract and the underlying USDS reserve mix, while {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} ultimately falls back to the USDS {{term:psm}}PSM{{/term}}.

USDS deposited into Sky's ERC-4626 savings vault; the wrapper remains fully backed by USDS while the exchange rate compounds with the Sky Savings Rate

## Peg Mechanism

Deposit USDS to mint sUSDS and withdraw USDS directly from the vault with no protocol fee; sUSDS and sDAI are both savings wrappers but are not exchangeable 1:1 because they have accrued different amounts of yield
