## Overview

USDD has pivoted again: the reserve now shows 62.5% TRX and 1.1% sTRX as CDP collateral alongside 31.5% in Smart Allocator DeFi strategies and 4.9% USDT in PSM vaults — a return to the TRX-heavy {{term:algorithmic}}volatile-asset{{/term}} composition that defined USDD's earlier era. That is a striking backing profile for an asset that now sits at a C- overall safety grade, dragged down by an F on decentralization and the structural fact that its dollar value rests on the most volatile single asset in the TRON orbit. The peg itself behaves better than the rest of the profile deserves, and the asset rarely strays from the calm end of the stress scale, but that surface stability has been bought across hundreds of brief deviations over the years. The 95-rated {{term:psm}}PSM{{/term}} backstop remains the load-bearing piece: permissionless atomic swaps with zero fees and an immediate USDT exit lane provide a redemption quality the surrounding reserve mix can't match. With Dominica jurisdiction and governance still set by fiat, USDD survives not on collateral merit but on the TRON ecosystem's captive demand and its founder's conviction that centralized control is a feature.
