## Overview

USDFC turns FIL collateral into dollar liquidity through Secured Finance’s Filecoin Troves, with direct redemption into oracle-valued FIL. Its single-asset backing avoids off-chain reserve custody but exposes the whole book to Filecoin’s native token and liquidation demand. Stability Pool funding covers only a small fraction of system debt, leaving redistribution to surviving Troves important when deposits run short. The contracts remain upgradeable under a two-of-three Safe, and the Tellor fallback depends on an operator-run update job. Holder exit therefore depends on both functioning collateral markets and a fresh protocol oracle, with redemption unavailable below the system’s minimum collateral ratio.

## Collateral

Native FIL held in Filecoin ActivePool and DefaultPool contracts; 110% minimum Trove collateralization and 150% system Recovery Mode threshold.

## Peg Mechanism

Any holder can redeem USDFC for $1 of oracle-valued FIL less 0.5% plus the dynamic Base Rate when system collateralization is at least 110%; permissionless liquidation uses the Stability Pool and redistributes uncovered debt and collateral.
