## Overview

Kava USDX is a legacy {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} debt token trading well below peg, kept in the catalog as a historical depeg case rather than a healthy par dollar. Kava USDX is the older Kava Mint {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} debt token backed by crypto collateral and {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} mechanics, sustained by {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} that has not been enough to defend the peg in practice. The asset remains visible in DefiLlama provider data, but its market price has spent extended periods below the dollar target, so Pharos flags it as a legacy depeg-risk entry. There is no supported canonical token contract to attach for reserve sync. Its tracking value is mostly historical and analytical: it shows how a live provider entry can coexist with a prior depeg narrative.
