PikuDAO's USP is a NAV-appreciating token — 50% deployed into a Turkish lira FX arbitrage strategy via Balsa Technologies ({{term:delta-neutral}}delta-neutral{{/term}} TRY/USD trades capturing Turkey's inflation-driven {{term:basis-trade}}basis trade{{/term}} carry), 40% across DeFi protocols (Giza, Almanak, USD.AI, Ethena, Aave, Cap), and 10% in a USDC/USDT buffer. The very-high risk classification on the Turkish FX strategy and high risk on the DeFi allocations are reflected in the exotic collateral quality rating and a backstop of 65 with whitelisted queue-based {{term:redemption}}redemption{{/term}} at 0.2% fee — KYC/KYB required to mint or redeem, with a 24-hour FIFO settlement queue. It's a genuinely novel yield source for DeFi — Turkish carry trade returns are uncorrelated with crypto markets — but also one that concentrates geopolitical and counterparty risk in a single emerging market whose currency has lost over 90% against the dollar in a decade. The NAV has appreciated above $1.07, which proves the strategy works when it works — the question is what happens when it doesn't.
