Solstice's USX is structurally simpler than its Swiss pedigree and Galaxy Digital backing might suggest: 55% USDC and 45% USDT, minted 1:1, with Chainlink Proof of Reserve verifying the reserves on-chain. Classified as a wrapper with governance quality reflecting its pass-through nature, USX inherits the safety profile of its underlying stablecoins rather than creating its own — which makes the value proposition a question of Solana-native convenience rather than novel design. The KYC-gated institutional minting at a $500K minimum coexists with permissionless DEX access, creating a two-tier system where large minters get direct access and everyone else trades the secondary market. Plans to expand collateral to SOL, ETH, and BTC would change the risk profile entirely, but for now USX is a regulated stablecoin wrapper on a chain that already has USDC and USDT.
