## Overview

Virtue USD is an IOTA-ecosystem {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} stablecoin backed by IOTA and stIOTA positions, with high-risk collateral and IOTA not yet a Pharos-supported chain. Virtue USD is an {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} IOTA ecosystem stablecoin backed by IOTA and stIOTA positions, with {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} mechanics and {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} as peg defense. CoinGecko resolves the IOTA object and reports a positive market cap, but IOTA itself is not yet a Pharos-supported chain, so the registry intentionally excludes contracts for now. That means Pharos can show price, market-cap, and risk metadata, while on-chain supply, mint/burn, and contract authority analysis remain future work. The collateral profile is high-risk compared with fiat-backed stablecoins because peg defense ultimately depends on volatile IOTA-family collateral and {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} mechanics.
