# Aplauz WEUR (WEUR)

**Peg:** Euro

**Backing:** Real-World Asset Backed

**Governance:** Centralized (CeFi)

**Status:** pre-launch

## Overview

Aplauz NL B.V. publishes WEUR as a euro e-money token with reserve assets safeguarded through a separate Dutch foundation. The whitepaper grants every holder par redemption after compliance checks and says EUR dispatch should generally occur within five business days of token receipt. ESMA lists the exact issuer and token, but notification does not approve the whitepaper or prove circulation. Public onboarding marketing conflicts with the amended whitepaper's statement that WEUR has not launched. Pharos retains a pre-launch record because production identity and circulation remain unverified.

## Collateral

Planned 1:1 EUR reserve backing safeguarded through Stichting Aplauz Foundation: at least 30% cash deposits with EEA credit institutions and at most 70% highly liquid, low-risk EUR instruments. The issuer names ABN AMRO for reserve banking and safeguarding, Fireblocks for digital-asset custody and transfer, Elliptic for AML analytics and Shufti for identity verification. These are issuer-claimed arrangements and whitepaper commitments, not an observed current portfolio or independent reserve reconciliation.

## Peg Mechanism

Aplauz NL B.V., Dutch company number 77446844, describes a direct issuer claim redeemable at par by any holder after onboarding and compliance checks. Its issuance/redemption terms v1.1 of 24 August 2026 specify no redemption minimum and a 100,000 WEUR minimum per initial issuance request. End-to-end redemption should not exceed five business days in most cases, but additional information requests or extraordinary circumstances can extend it; this is not an unconditional settlement maximum. Redemption-only applicants need an EEA EUR bank account; contracted clients may use eligible non-EEA bank accounts. Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain are planned initial networks; production addresses are unpublished.
