## Overview

A Silo Finance CDP dollar minted against approved isolated-market collateral; risk is governance, liquidation quality, and venue-thin secondary liquidity.

XAI is a Silo Finance credit-line stablecoin: users borrow it against approved Silo collateral and repay it to close debt, while SiloDAO controls the credit-line parameters. Pharos validates Ethereum supply and carries the reserve stack as curated Silo collateral rather than a full live vault decomposition. The risk is classic {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} risk in a narrow venue: governance parameters, {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} buffers, {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} quality, and whether secondary liquidity can enforce the peg when borrow demand changes.

## Collateral

Overcollateralized Silo credit-line collateral. XAI launched backed by ETH and USDC silos and SiloDAO progressively approved further credit lines (stETH/wstETH, cbETH, wBTC, USDT, LUSD, FXS, BAL, LQTY, gOHM); SiloDAO governs which collaterals and credit-line parameters apply

## Peg Mechanism

XAI is borrowed into existence against approved Silo collateral and burned on repayment. It has no dedicated stability module: the soft USD peg relies on arbitrage (borrow/repay always settle at $1, so a sub-$1 market price is repaid at a discount and an above-$1 price is sold) backed by DEX liquidity, while SiloDAO controls minting capacity and the XAI borrow interest rate across silos to manage circulating supply
