## Overview

Mento's West African CFA franc CDP mints XOFm against USDm collateral on Celo, with FX-pair modeling still maturing on the reserve side.

XOFm brings Mento's local-currency {{term:cdp}}CDP{{/term}} model to the West African CFA franc on Celo. DefiLlama shows a live price and circulating supply, and the protocol description is clear: users deposit USDm into Mento troves and borrow XOFm against it, with {{term:overcollateralization}}overcollateralization{{/term}} buffers and {{term:liquidation}}liquidation{{/term}} mechanics enforcing peg discipline. Pharos now treats XOF as a dedicated peg with a secondary daily FX reference, while reserve modeling stays conservative because Mento's live CDP data does not expose XOFm-specific trove rows yet.
